Rather than go through yet another “waaaah, I can’t ride my horse…yes! I can ride my horse! Waaahhh, P is terrible….yay! He loves me again” post, I’m going to jump on the blog hop bandwagon started by That Red Mare . You’re welcome.
I got P in May 2014, about 2 weeks after he turned 4. He had come off the track the previous October after a fairly unsuccessful racing career, purchased by a reseller in January and let down until I bought him. When I first saw him unload off the trailer, I thought, “Did I really just buy this dirty brownish skinny horse?” In the 2 weeks between the videos I bought him off of and him arriving in NC, he had a growth spurt and looked a little gross.

First ride:

1st Child Ride:

To being trusted without someone leading:

To babysitting Baby Noah in his first show:
July 2015
And still giving pony rides 2 years later:

1st real jump, January 2015:
Now they’re slightly bigger:
1st dressage show; February 2015:
Most recent, October 2016:
1st time on XC, September 2015:
Again, sliiightly bigger, in October 2016:
And then there’s my own transformation. I used to lean…BAD. These are all from 2014.

So many thanks to Trainer L for REALLY working hard with me on that. October 2016:
But some things haven’t changed at all.
He and my husband still hang out together at shows:

And P is still super cuddly.

Well look at that. The walk down memory lane at least served the purpose of making me actually missing my horse. Is it 5 o’clock yet?
Looking forward to reading other transformations!
Aww, these are all such sweet pictures!

Yes, this was eye opening. Sometimes it’s hard to see the improvement day to day!

I wish I could freeze frame him so he’d stay the color he is now!
